Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are an important part of training before a competition.  This allows a dancer to attach an entire program of dances together mentally, develop muscular memory of technique and dances, and gain stamina for the competition experience.  Practice makes permanent and repetition is the key to success.
 

Rounds are usually:   

Smooth: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, and Viennese Waltz

Ballroom: Slow Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot, and Quickstep

Rhythm: Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, and Mambo

Latin: Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive 

Nightclub: Hustle, West Coast Swing, Merengue, Salsa, and Nightclub Two-Step
